New Patient Appointments:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8 am and 11am .
- Once your appointment is confirmed, you will receive an email with a link to our new patient online class and medical history and office forms to fill out. Please print the forms, fill them out and bring them to your first visit. There are 3 videos to watch, each about 30 minutes. You must watch the videos BEFORE you come in for your first appointment or you will be rescheduled.
The New Patient Appointment is about 60-90 minutes and includes:
- A Body Composition test to measure lean muscle, water, and body fat composition (a 60 second scan)
- Review of blood work, including: CBC, CMP, TSH, Lipid Panel, and Diabetes screening test
- May include an EKG, depending on health history and age
- A private consultation with Dr. Zechmann or Michelle Warner ARNP, who may recommend and prescribe certain medications depending on the results of your labs and medical history.
How to prepare for your first appointment:
- Complete the medical history form and read the informed consent and privacy policies.
- Include all prescription medications and their dosages on the medical history form.
- Obtain a copy of all lab work done in the last year and bring it with you.
- Obtain a copy of any EKGs or heart tests that were done in the last year and bring them with you.
- Get labs drawn at least one business day before your first appointment. Do not eat or drink anything but water after 9 pm the night before.
- It’s OK to take high blood pressure medications on the morning of your appointment.
- Do not use lotions on the day of your first appointment.

Monthly followup appointments include:
- A private consultation to review progress.
- A Body Composition test to measure lean muscle, water, and body fat composition.
- Renewal of/adjustment to any prescribed medications.
- Weight loss counseling and coaching.
Maintenance Program:
- Following the active weight loss phase, patients enter the maintenance program:
- To protect their weight loss.
- To keep their disease of obesity under control.
Medication:
- The use of medications may not be indicated or necessary for successful treatment.
